Annabelle Lever

I'm a professor of political philosophy at Sciences Po, Paris, where I teach ethics and public policy, democratic theory, methodology and epistemology and lead the Horizon 2020 project, Reconstructing Democracy in Times of Crisis: A Voter-Centred Perspective. (REDEM https://www.redem-h2020.eu/index.html), based on a longstanding interest in the ethics of voting. I also write on privacy, sexual and racial equality, intellectual property, security, (especially racial profiling), democracy, judging and juries and on pragmatism and epistemic democracy. I am co-editor of the Critical Review of International Social and Political Philosophy, with Richard Bellamy and Glyn Morgan; co-editor of a book in honour of Joshua Cohen, Ideas that Matter, with Debra Satz; the Routledge Handbook of Ethics and Public Policy with Andrei Poama; and (all by myself this time) New Frontiers in the Philosophy of Intellectual Property. I am the author of On Privacy, and on A Democratic Conception of Privacy. Hopefully, I will write the book of democratic theory that I've been meaning to write for years...but there are too many intellectual (and non-intellectual) temptations, and I am, clearly, easily distracted!
