Dr. Antonia Tejeda Barros (Barcelona, 1975) is a Holocaust researcher at the Tiergarten 4 Association in Berlin, MA in Holocaust Studies (Touro University Berlin, 2026—with a thesis entitled “Jewish Mothers During the Shoah: Forgotten Courageous Women Who Deserve a Place in Holocaust Historiography”), Doctor in Philosophy (UNED, 2023), MA in Philosophy (UNED, 2015) and Bachelor of Music (Early Music, Recorder, and Pedagogy, 2002, Koninklijk Conservatorium, The Hague). Her areas of research are the Shoah, antisemitism, Primo Levi, Viktor Frankl, Sartre, Ortega, Hannah Arendt, and Golda Meir. Her Holocaust research focuses on the extermination camps (mainly Chełmno, Treblinka II, and Auschwitz-Birkenau), the Einsatzgruppen massacres, the Łódź and Warsaw ghettos, and antisemitism—dehumanization and demonization of the Jewish people, as the main driving force behind the Shoah. Her perspective—based on empathy and memory—is that of the Jewish victims (Jewish men, women, children, and babies—highlighting the suffering, courage, and death of Jewish mothers). She has been invited to lecture about Viktor Frankl, Primo Levi, the Shoah, and antisemitism at the Centro Sefarad Israel and the Fundación Hispano-judía (Madrid, Spain).
