Postgraduate researcher in the philosophy and ethics of AI at the University of York (MA Philosophy of Artificial Intelligence, supervised by Dr Mike Stuart). Research focuses on the epistemic authority of AI systems that constitute their targets rather than merely representing them, with implications for trustworthiness, epistemic justice, and AI governance. Twenty-five years of prior professional experience analysing how algorithmic classification systems shape consumer behaviour at an institutional scale form the empirical foundation of this work. Published in De Gruyter (2026) and Springer (forthcoming).
