I’m an Assistant Professor of Philosophy at McMaster University. I work on topics in bioethics, in particular on the ethics of randomized controlled trials. I write about the moral justification for risk imposition, research with vulnerable populations, pediatric ethics, and ethical aspects of study designs, including the stepped wedge trial and challenge studies.
I received my Ph.D. in philosophy from the University of Western Ontario. I also hold a MA from McGill University's Biomedical Ethics Unit, and a BA in philosophy from McGill. Before joining McMaster, I was a Research Fellow at The Ethox Centre at the University of Oxford.
