I am half-historian and half-philosopher. Historians frequently think of me as a philosopher, whereas philosophers usually insist that I am a historian. I have no problem with that undefinedness, as my fields of investigation are historical theory and history of historical thought, and in both of them history and theory intersect in multiple points. I work as an assistant professor for theory and methodology of history at the University of Brasília. I earned my B.A. from the Federal University of Goiás in Goiânia, my M.A. from the University of Brasília, and my PhD from the University of Witten/Herdecke (Germany).
