I am the British Society of Aesthetics Postdoctoral Fellow (2026-2028) and a Visiting Academic at the University of Southampton. I work on the metaphysics of aesthetic value and meta-normativity more broadly.
My postdoctoral project is about what kinds of aesthetic value there are and whether each thing has its own unique kind of aesthetic value.
The doctoral thesis I wrote at Oxford argued that aesthetic properties are not kinds of aesthetic value. An essay based on the main argument of my thesis was awarded the 2025 Fabian Dorsch Essay Prize by the European Society for Aesthetics.
