33We have compared the decay rates of KL and KS to π+π- and π0π0 final states using a subset of the data from the KTeV experiment at Fermilab. We find that the direct-CP-violation parameter Re is equal to [28.0 ± 3.0 ± 2.8] × 104. This result definitively establishes the existence of CP violation in a decay process. © 1999 The American Physical Society.

47Transformative power of technologies: cultural transfer and globalizationAI and Society 38 (6): 2295-2303. 2023.In the last three decades, a cultural perspective has been used to understand scientific knowledge and technology. This relatively new perspective has introduced literature on the ethical dimension to the development of technology, which are embedded in techniques, tools and artifacts. Today, more than ever, there is an urgent need to comprehend the global ramifications of modernization. In this paper, we make an attempt to look at science and technology based on culture, wisdom, ecology and eth…Read more

108Postphenomenological investigations of technological experienceAI and Society 30 (2): 199-205. 2015.Technology is inextricably woven into the social and cultural fabric of different cultures. Tool use technologies, created and used by our pre-sapiens relatives, preceded us by more than a million years. There are no human cultures that are pre-technological. All humans have a material culture with complexly patterned praxes involving artifacts; we have only recently begun to appreciate the completely of even what may be called technologically mediated cultures. Technologies either magnify or am…Read more

99Culture of sedimentation in the human–technology interactionAI and Society 31 (2): 233-242. 2016.New technologies inspire new interface paradigms. Promising utility of new interfaces continues attracting their modification. It is argued that in order for human users to share phenomenological experiences through multimodal systems, they need to deal with embedded computers. This paper discusses the embodied nature of communication and a need for the development of a postphenomenology of technology, which plays a vital role in the material culture.
