Dr Athanasia Giasoumi received her BA, MA, and PhD in Philosophy from the University of Patras, Greece. She is currently a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA), working on the project “Revisiting Misology in the Post-Truth Era: Plato’s Warning Against the Decline of Reason.” Her research focuses on Plato’s middle and late dialogues, with particular emphasis on metaphysical and epistemological questions, the psychology of argumentation, and the phenomenon of misology and its educational roots. She is also a member of the British Society for the History of Philosophy (BSHP).
