Employing a qualitative approach with a literature review of classical and contemporary sources, the study explores theoretical distinctions and practical overlaps among these roles. Findings indicate that while each concept emphasizes different domains spiritual and character cultivation (murabbi), knowledge transmission (mu’allim), and behavior and ethics formation (mu’addib) they function complementarily within formal education. The article also discusses challenges facing educators in the era of globalization, including curricular constraints, technological dominance, and value pluralism, and proposes integrative strategies to preserve these roles in modern school settings. The conclusion argues for revitalizing murabbi, mu’allim, and mu’addib to achieve a contextual, holistic, and responsive Islamic education.
