A linguagem perpassa a construção do indivíduo assim como qualquer forma de vida social. Não é possível pensar uma comunidade, um país sem vislumbrar cidadãos que o componha e nem uma dinâmica de convivência respeitando a individualidade e as estruturas comuns sem a clareza dos deveres e direitos de cada um. Este artigo tem como objetivo refletir sobre a interligação da linguagem como elemento fundamental para pensar a cidadania e o acesso à justiça. Para tanto, conta-se com uma revisão bibliográfica sobre obras que reflitam os conceitos destes termos e aquelas que já se dedicaram a pensar a relação da linguagem no mundo do direito assim como ela no exercício da cidadania. O que o artigo evidencia é a importância da construção, diversificação e garantia de espaços onde as potencialidades da linguagem possam ser desenvolvidas e exercitadas, considerando que o usufruto de local e seguridade para se expressar, para acessar mecanismos de entendimentos dos códigos utilizados na comunicação com os outros integrantes já é a base que viabiliza o exercício da cidadania e que compartilha em diversos níveis o mesmo solo onde se ergue os objetivos da esfera jurídica. Por fim, por ser a cidadania e o direito componentes vitais na arquitetura das sociedades modernas e estas construídas a partir da linguagem, carregam assim seu caráter vivo, dinâmico e relacional. A entrevista descrita neste texto foi realizada com o professor doutor Edson Dias Ferreira, da Universidade Estadual de Feira de Santana (UEFS) na Bahia. O roteiro foi previamente enviado e após verificadas as possibilidades de realização, agendamos a data da entrevista pela Plataforma do Google Meet. A presente sugestão de leitura, tem por objetivo, compor reflexões acerca dos temas linguagens visuais e cultura na perspectiva do Professor Edson, e como elas tiveram influência na sua vida acadêmica como um todo, ressaltando a importância das linguagens audiovisuais e cultura nas manifestações culturais da população afro-brasileira, no processo de formação, ensino e práxis docente, enriquecendo a experiência educacional e proporcionando diferentes formas de expressão e aprendizado para as gerações futuras.

Schools have been the main context for physical activity and sedentary behavior interventions among adolescents, but there is inconsistent evidence on whether they also improve dimensions of the health−related quality of life. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effects of a school-based active lifestyle intervention on dimensions of HRQoL. A secondary aim was to verify whether sex, age, and HRQoL at baseline were moderators of the intervention effect. A cluster-randomized controlled trial was conducted at three control and three intervention schools in Florianopolis, Brazil. All students from 7th to 9th grade were invited to participate. A school year intervention, designed primarily to increase PA and reduce SB, included strategies focused on teacher training on PA, SB, and nutrition, and availability of teaching materials related to these contents; environmental improvements ; and education strategies, with the availability of folders and posters regarding PA, SB, and nutrition. Participants and the research staffs were not blinded to group assignment, but a standardized evaluation protocol was applied at baseline and after the intervention using the KIDSCREEN−27 to assess HRQoL across five dimensions. Mixed linear models were performed to evaluate the effect of the Movimente intervention on the five HRQoL dimensions. Of the 921 students who answered the questionnaire at baseline, 300 and 434 completed the study in control and intervention groups, respectively. The results revealed no significant effects of the intervention on any HRQoL dimensions. A reduction of the school environment dimension was observed in both the control and intervention groups. Sensitivity analyses showed that students in the highest baseline tertiles of HRQoL in any dimension had a reduction in their respective scores from pre- to post-intervention in both school groups. In conclusion, our results demonstrated no intervention effect on HRQoL dimensions and those students with the highest levels of HRQoL at baseline on all dimensions reduced from pre to post-intervention.Clinical Trial RegistrationThe trial is registered at the Clinical Trial Registry.

The present paper proposes a theoretical model of institutional quality of a higher education institution (HEI) which, in addition to the internal dimensions of quality, incorporates also the external dimension, i.e. the outcomes dimension. This dimension has been neglected by the quality standards and models examined in our paper. Furthermore, the standards and models analyzed consider stakeholders as one of the quality factors of a HEI. The stakeholders’ perspective is seen as a lens through which stakeholders define, control and assess the quality of a HEI. The proposed model therefore gives stakeholders greater significance compared to the dimensions of institutional quality of a HEI. The model has been validated from the employers’ perspective. On the basis of 339 completed questionnaires or a 39.74 % response rate we concluded that outcomes constitute the most important dimension of institutional quality of a HEI from the perspective of employers in Slovenia. The outcomes dimension is followed, in descending order, by the non-financial resources and inputs, sustainable development, value chain, and, finally, the financial resources and inputs dimensions. The results of the study have shown that of the 44 quality factors of a HEI the following data are of key importance to employers: information on the participation of students in practical training, achievements of graduates at the workplace, implementation of a HEI’s research achievements in practice, graduate employability, and a HEI’s responsiveness to the demands and changes in the environment
