I am a graduate of a Research Training Group “Situated Cognition”, which was an interdisciplinary project bringing together dozens of empirical and theoretical researchers from two German universities with strong traditions in cognitive science: Ruhr University Bochum and the University of Osnabrück. I am interested in the concept of "adaptivity", which refers to an organism’s capacity to adjust in the face of perturbation. My philosophical investigation focuses on how this concept transfers from biology to heterodox models of cognition and to AI research.
