I am a PhD candidate at UC San Diego working primarily on Kant's action theory and moral psychology. I have further interests in evil, early modern philosophy, love, and value. My dissertation "Finite, feeling, but free: Kant on evil and action" provides a novel reading of Kant's theory of 'radical evil' and the theory of action in which it is embedded, as well as its metaphysics and theological background. In other work, I explore Kant's (or Kantian) views on (self-)love and (self-)forgiveness.
