It's hard to say whether you're a good writer or not, because it's all relative. Not everyone is the same age, from the same background, or even writing for the same audiences, so what might be a great post for someone else can be a terrible one for you. Have you ever been to a critique group? I kind of wish I had tried it out before writing, because it might have saved me some time. When you write, every single word is potentially a problem to be solved, because it needs to be perfect. If you're trying to solve a puzzle, the words in your novel need to be equally as correct and logical as the ones in someone else's novel. It may only take one line for them to throw away your entire book. And that's not an exaggeration: if someone doesn't like the way you put something into the words…they don't read on.
