I am the Assistant Director of the Rock Ethics Institute at Penn State and hold a PhD in political science from Yale University, where I was a Beinecke Scholar. I do research in political philosophy and the history of political thought that focuses on the ethics of political action, criminal justice, ideal theory, and apocalyptic thought. My research has appeared or is forthcoming in the European Journal of Political Theory, Ethical Theory and Moral Practice, the Journal of Criminal Law and Criminology, and Politics, Groups, and Identities.
