I am the Assistant Director of the Rock Ethics Institute at Penn State and hold a PhD in political science from Yale University, where I was a Beinecke Scholar. I do research in political philosophy and the history of political thought. My work focuses on criminal justice, the ethics of political action, ideal theory, and religious thought in politics. My research appears in Ethical Theory and Moral Practice, the Journal of Applied Philosophy, the European Journal of Political Theory, the Journal of Criminal Law and Criminology, and other venues.
