Hello, my name is Benjamin and I am a PhD student in Healthcare Ethics at Duquesne University.

I graduated summa cum laude from The Ohio State University with a B.A. in philosophy and minors in Clinical Psychology and Human Development & Family Science. I then completed an M.A. in philosophy at Kent State University.

My main area of research is psychiatric ethics, in particular forensic psychiatric ethics. Free will, rehabilitation, quarantine, compassion, and decisional capacity are some topics I work on. A cornerstone of my research project is a thorough-going free will skepticism, prison abolitionism, and anti-retributivism.
