I am a PhD Candidate (ABD) in philosophy at the University of Calgary. My dissertation is about pragmatist approaches to intentionality and normativity in nature; that is, it is animated by the question of the place of mind and agency in the natural world. In particular, I focus on pragmatist views of conceptual understanding in the context of its importance to human mindedness in general and as within a broadly post-Kantian tradition.

I also have interests in epistemology & metaphysics, philosophy of science, early modern philosophy, the history of analytic philosophy, 19th & early 20th century European philosophy, and political philosophy.
