My research is in two main areas: philosophy of science and applied ethics. In philosophy of science, I am interested in the nature and role of scientific representation, models, and simulations within scientific practice. My work draws on insights from philosophy of action to better understand these elements of scientific practice.
In applied ethics, I am interested in the role of identity and integrity in understanding proper practical reasoning.
