My research concerns philosophy of happiness in general and, more particularly, tracing the history, development, and applicability of eudaimonism as an ethical tradition. I am currently working on a manuscript concerning the presence of eudaimonism in the early modern period, examining thinkers such as Thomas Hobbes, Pierre Gassendi, René Descartes, Mary Astell, Benedict de Spinoza, G.W. Leibniz, Gabrielle Suchon, and Émilie Du Châtelet.
