[English] This article examines a central difficulty in the spiritual teaching of liturgy, namely the loss of an integral understanding of the human person. It argues that early modernity fostered a “de-anthropologizing” intellectual culture, in which the anthropological depth of theological reality became increasingly obscured. Drawing on Maurice Festugière’s liturgical critique, the study shows how this fragmentation weakened the relationship between theology, spirituality, and liturgy. It then proposes an ecosystemic theological approach, inspired by the conciliar renewal, which situates liturgy as an integrating principle of theological formation. Finally, it sketches a fundamental liturgical theology of witness, grounded in the dialectic between rite and life and structured by biographical, biblical, and hagiographical forms of testimony, in order to restore the anthropological coherence of theological knowledge and the credibility of Christian experience. — [Français] Cet article examine une difficulté centrale de l’enseignement spirituel de la liturgie, la perte d’une compréhension intégrale de la personne humaine. Il soutient que la modernité naissante a favorisé une culture intellectuelle « désanthropologisante », où la profondeur anthropologique de la réalité théologique se trouve refoulée. À partir de la critique liturgique de Maurice Festugière, l’étude montre comment cette fragmentation affaiblit le lien entre théologie, spiritualité et liturgie. Elle propose ensuite une approche théologique écosystémique, inspirée du renouveau conciliaire, qui situe la liturgie comme principe intégrateur de la formation théologique. Enfin, elle esquisse une théologie liturgique fondamentale du témoignage, fondée sur la dialectique entre rite et vie et structurée par des formes biographiques, bibliques et hagiographiques, afin de restaurer la cohérence anthropologique du savoir théologique et la crédibilité de l’expérience chrétienne.

[English]This article offers a structured reexamination of Guy Lapointe’s liturgical thought through his plea for a semper reformanda liturgy. It identifies five generative tensions that ground the necessity of continuous reform: (1) the conciliar dynamic between Church and world, (2) the articulation of liturgical tradition and ecclesial progress, (3) creativity as a hermeneutical principle, (4) the transformation of sacramental language subject to historical erosion, and (5) the dialectic between rite and life as the source of integral liturgical renewal. These guiding threads demonstrate the urgency of moving beyond a static conception of liturgical reform, and call for a liturgy that is embodied, poetic, and meaningful within the conditions of contemporary experience. — [Français] Cet article propose une relecture structurée de la pensée liturgique de Guy Lapointe à partir de son plaidoyer en faveur d’une liturgie semper reformanda. Il identifie cinq tensions fécondes qui fondent la nécessité d’une réforme continue : (1) la dynamique conciliaire entre l’Église et le monde, (2) l’articulation entre tradition liturgique et progrès ecclésial, (3) la créativité comme principe herméneutique, (4) la transformation du langage sacramentel soumis à l’érosion historique, et (5) la dialectique entre le rite et la vie comme source d’un renouveau liturgique intégral. Ces lignes de force montrent l’urgence de dépasser une conception statique de la réforme et appellent à une liturgie incarnée, poétique et signifiante dans les conditions de l’expérience contemporaine.
