Hi! I’m Brian Haas, an Assistant Professor of Teaching at UC, Riverside. I received my PhD in Philosophy at USC in 2025, and before that, I completed a Bachelor's degree in philosophy at Reed College in Portland, Oregon.
My main areas of current research are in the philosophy of language (esp. pragmatic and metasemantics), metaphysics (esp. ground and fundamentality), and ethics (esp. ethics of lying, deception, manipulation, and communication). My dissertation was on deception.
