Brian is currently Visiting Assistant Professor in the Cornerstone Program at Purdue University. He earned his PhD in Philosophy at Purdue in 2019 and his MA at the University of Memphis in 2007. His dissertation is on the implications of evolutionary psychology for traditional approaches to moral theory. In particular, can evolutionary debunking arguments defeat the theories of conscience found in the work of Rousseau, Kant, and Hegel? Recently Brian has been working on a study of vocal music in Hegel’s aesthetics and the problem of truthfulness in journalism ethics.
