I am a Ph.D. student in the Philosophy Department at the University of Cincinnati. I received my BA in philosophy from the University of Nebraska at Omaha with a concentration in ethics, law, and social-political philosophy and a minor in human rights. My primary research interests currently live at the intersection of topics in well-being, identity, and social philosophy and philosophy of science, particularly psychology and cognitive science.

My primary research interests currently live at the intersection of topics in well-being, identity, and social philosophy and philosophy of science, particularly psychology and cognitive science.
I am an active member of UC’s Philosophy for Children Outreach Group, where I focus on classroom facilitation and curriculum development for middle school classrooms. I have volunteered with the High School Ethics Bowl since 2020, and currently collaborate with UC and the Cincinnati Ethics Center to co-instruct UC’s undergraduate 1000 and 3000-level Ethics Bowl courses. As such, I have secondary research interests in pedagogy and the scholarship of teaching and learning.
I currently serve on the American Philosophical Association’s (APA) Graduate Council as an appointed member. I am also the 2024-2025 Series Editor for the Graduate Student Chronicles, a Blog of the APA. I am passionate about service and love finding ways to uplift and empower underrepresented voices in philosophy and academia. Finally, in addition to working toward a Ph.D., I am studying for a graduate certificate in Museum Studies from UC’s College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning.
When not doing philosophy, I enjoy niche perfume, running, cooking, being outdoors, and traveling. You can find out more about me and my work on my website, briannalarson.com
