Carl Davidson

Carl Davidson was a philosophy graduate assistant from Penn State and an instructor at the University of Nebraska in 1964-66. Today he is an independent student of American pragmatism, especially Dewey and Mead, as well as Marx and Gramsci, and Thich Nhat Hahn's Engaged Buddhism. He is lead organizer of the Online University of the Left, and a veteran peace and justice organizer and community technology advocate. He was a leader of the 1960s new left. Today, he is a member of Democratic Socialists of America, a LeftRoots Compa, and a leading member of the Committees of Correspondence for Democracy and Socialism. He is the co-author, with Jerry Harris, of ‘CyberRadicalism: A New Left for a Global Age,’ and other works available at lulu.com/changemaker. He now lives in Beaver County, Western Pennsylvania, where his family is deeply rooted.
