This article proposes that reality unfolds through two fundamental temporal dimensions: synchronic time and diachronic time. Synchronic time generates continuity, relational structure, identity, and belonging, while diachronic time generates novelty, irreversibility, and historical transformation. Building upon the Philosophy of Belonging, the paper argues that being is belonging because existence is relational, while belonging remains imperfect because reality evolves through diachronic time.

Institutions and civilization emerge as adaptive responses to an open and evolving universe.
The paper offers a unified interpretation of time, ontology, evolution, history, and meaning, proposing that reality continuously generates new forms of belonging through the interaction of continuity and transformation.
