Despite its great speculative relevance and despite the fact that it is the very foundation of the Hegelian system, The Science of Logic by G. W. F. Hegel is practically an illegible book nowadays. Even for Germans it is a difficult reading. Other books by Hegel (except for the Encyclopedia) are reasonably readable. This is not the case of The Science of Logic. Almost all technical terms used by Hegel are defined by a conceptual network, in which the components are themselves related to one another. That is the reason for the difficulty of finding a reading guide to direct the reader from one chapter to the next. Initially, the authors of the present paper try to translate Hegel’s typical language into usual English, even if some of the richness of the original text is lost. In a second step, they attempt to formalize what has been translated. There is no intention of keeping fidelity to Hegelian orthodoxy; on the contrary, the authors attempt to correct everything they think is an error in the Hegelian system. Dois são os grandes problemas deuma Ética geral hoje: Como passar de proposiçõesdescritivas para proposições normativas?Qual o primeiro ou os primeiros princípios doDever-ser? Propõe-se aqui um novo modelo deÉtica. A fundamentação do Dever-ser - a primeirapergunta - se faz mudando o operador modal doprincípio de não-contradição: "Não se devepredicar e não predicar", pois contradições defato existem, o que prova que elas não são impossiveise sim indevidas. O primeiro princípio daÉtica - esta é a proposta - consiste no próprioprincípio de não-contradição, reformulado comoPrincipio da Coerência, válido para a Lógica, aNatureza e o Espírito.

The present paper will discuss three points: (a) the question on if the fundamental mistakes that led Hegel’s system to collapse can be understood and formulated in the horizon that is given to us by the tradition from Plato to Schelling; (b) if it is posible to outline the project of a system in the tradition of Plato and Hegel in a way that the mistakes mentioned before can be avoided; (c) in being posible such a project, what role would play in it contemporary scientific theories, as the Theory of Evolution by Darwin, The theory of systems by Bertalanffy, the Theories about Deterministic Chaos, the Theory of Prigogine about Dynamic Systems and the Fractals Theory? In answer to this question the paper will defend the proposal of a project of universal philosophical system, in which these theories must be considered as its integer parts, such as mechanisms that, at least in part, determine the passage from the One to the Multiple.
