I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Philosophy at Texas State University. I completed my PhD in philosophy at the University of Miami.
I work on visual expertise, the contents of perceptual experience, and what processes influence those contents, like cognitive penetration and perceptual learning. Some of my in-progress work is at the intersection of philosophy of perception and technophilosophy (e.g., what do we visually experience in VR?), and separately, the intersection of philosophy of perception with feminist and social philosophy (e.g., how can biases influence perception?).
