Cesare Cozzo studied philosophy at the University of Rome “La Sapienza” as an undergraduate. In 1987 he began graduate studies at the University of Florence and in 1992 he completed his first PhD thesis Teoria del significato e filosofia della logica (later published by Clueb, Bologna) with Professors Carlo Cellucci, Marisa Dalla Chiara and Paolo Parrini as supervisors. In 1995 Cozzo received a second doctorate in theoretical philosophy at the University of Stockholm with Professor Dag Prawitz as supervisor.
