Charles-Antoine Bachand, Ph. D., is a professor of education at the Université du Québec en Outaouais (UQO) and a membre of the Centre de recherche interuniversitaire sur la formation et la profession enseignante (CRIFPE). He conducts research on the core principles and practices of emancipatory citizenship education. Following the approach of critical science, he studies the citizenship competencies that are and could be developed in diverse training curricula.
