Since early days I have been a cheerleader for the human mind. After 20 years of research and study of Spinoza's "Ethics" I recognized the need for me to contribute to the extant.
My recent book is titled:

or "On the Improvement of the Understanding".
The focus stems from Spinoza's expressed goal early in the piece: ...for each of us to possess,"...the knowledge of the union existing between the mind and the whole of nature." Please notice that he did not say 'brain'.

The book uses key concepts and controlling ideas from the work set off in italics followed by discussion and illustrations of the intended meaning of each.Spinoza laid out the power and operations of the human mind in the 'Fragment' and understanding that is a requisite [I believe],for grasping the significance of the "Ethics" and Baruch's unheralded place as the greatest Metaphysician in the history of ideas.
The contention is that Spinoza 'discovered' the human mind and to this day that startling fact goes largely unknown. It is not arrogance which caused me to write, it came from pure necessity.
