Charles Piecyk

I am specialising in the philosophy of Michel Foucault (in particular his 'archaeological' period and his famous statement about the 'end of man'). I am also deeply interested in the question of the human today in the face of the ground-breaking advances and challenges in the areas of science and technology. My research connects both aspects by investigating the nature and origins of Transhumanism (and Posthumanism) as a discourse concerning the (possible) overcoming of the human.
