Chi-Hé Elder is a Lecturer in Linguistics at the University of East Anglia, UK. She specialises in theoretical pragmatics, with a particular interest in the cognitive processes involved in utterance comprehension. She completed her PhD in 2015 on the pragmatics of conditionals at the University of Cambridge, which has recently been revised as a monograph entitled Context, Cognition and Conditionals (2019).
