Chris Abel

Chris Abel is the author of numerous publications on the built environment, culture and identity formation and has taught at universities around the world; latterly at the University of Sydney and the University of Ulster, Belfast, where he was Honorary Visiting Professor. In 2017 his book, The Extended Self: Architecture, Memes and Minds, published by Manchester University Press (2015), was awarded the International Committee of Architectural Critics Bruno Zevi Book Award by unanimous verdict of an international jury. He now lives in France close to Paris, where he continues his writings on interdisciplinary and topical subjects, including the two articles listed here on the climate emergency.
