I am a joint PhD candidate between the Ruhr University Bochum (Institute for Philosophy II) and the University of Antwerp (Centre for Philosophical Psychology). Prior to my doctoral work, I obtained an M.Sc. Logic from the University of Amsterdam and an M.Sc. Clinical Psychology from the University of Groningen. I am working interdisciplinarily on aphantasia, mental imagery, and representational formats, with the question at the heart of my research being how aphantasics are able to solve tasks that supposedly require mental imagery. In 2024, I co-founded, together with Jianghao Liu, the Interdisciplinary Reading Club on Aphantasia (IRCA).
