I am the J.O. and Julette Koepfli Professor of Philosophy, in the Division of Humanities and Social Sciences, at the California Institute of Technology. I work primarily on causation, but also on other topics in general philosophy of science and formal epistemology. I have dabbled in many further areas: philosophy of biology, philosophy of physics, philosophy of law, psychology and experimental philosophy, metaphilosphy, philosophy of language and linguistics
