I was educated at the University of Chicago and received my PhD in Philosophy from Emory University, where I studied the history of philosophy specializing in Early Modern. My research interests are in the moral psychology and political theory of Early Modern Philosophy. I am currently teaching philosophy in the General Education Division at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen and also serve at the Deputy Director of the Division. In addition, my philosophical and personal interests cover a wide range of topics in literature, art, and film.
