I mostly work on topics related to perception - particularly spatial perception, and, in aesthetics, perception of form (and, more recently, the histories of thinking about both of these) - but my 'method' is quite synthetic and I typically end up venturing outside these confines so as to bring considerations from metaphysics, philosophy of action, and in the last year or so, ethics to bear on the rather more specific puzzles I end up chasing. I wrote my PhD (2012) on the perception of empty space (what is it? what kinds of properties does it have? do we see it, touch it?), and I still think of this topic as a keyhole through which a number of difficult, broad and systemic questions in philosophy of mind and action can be viewed and approached.
With Rachael Wiseman (Liverpool), I co-direct In Parenthesis. You can find out about the project at http://www.womeninparenthesis.co.uk, or follow us on twitter @parenthesis_in
