I am interested in information in two senses. As a technical field, information science deals with documents produced by people, how to index them and make them available, especially based on their subject content (knowledge organization). But after all, what matters is such subject content. Indeed, in a more fundamental sense, information is any discontinuity in the world, and can be taken as a new foundation for ontology in its philosophical sense. This also involves theories of systems, of levels of reality and of general evolution. The result may be an updated classification of the existing phenomena and of the sciences dealing with them…
