Cliff Stagoll is Lecturer in the School of Philosophy and Theology, University of Notre Dame Australia (Fremantle). His qualifications in philosophy include two PhDs, the first from University of Warwick (where he was a Commonwealth Scholar) and the second from University of Western Australia, an MA from Texas A&M University, and a BA from Deakin University. He also holds tertiary qualifications in economics, industrial relations, and management. Cliff is currently researching William James’s ethics of self-creation, phenomenological interpretations of James, and how James’s conceptions of habit might be utilized in the field of education.
