I am a postdoctoral fellow in philosophy at the University of Bern (Switzerland). I work mainly in philosophy of mind and language, though I also have papers in philosophy of AI, environmental philosophy, social ontology, and aesthetics. Much of my research concerns emotions and communication – verbal and nonverbal. I have worked on topics such as Gricean pragmatics, human-AI communication, emotional speech acts, the meaning of slurs, propaganda, emotion elicitation, the content of emotions, moods, aesthetic taste, the definitions of art, emotional abstract art, musical meaning, and music cognition.
