I am a Research Fellow in Philosophy based in the School of Historical Studies at Birkbeck College. Previously, I did my BPhil at Oxford and my PhD at Cambridge, where I was an Isaac Newton Trust scholar at Trinity College. I then lectured in Philosophy at Birkbeck College for about a decade.

My main philosophical research has been in metaethics and the philosophy of language, but I currently also have wider interests in the philosophy of music, as well as in narrative views of identity.

Currently, I am taking a mid-career break to study music cognition at Goldsmiths, University of London.
