Dan Flores

Professor of Philosophy at Houston Community College. Former Director of Honors College Northwest. I am also a doctoral student at Salve Regina University where I am pursuing a PhD in Humanities and Technology. I will be working on a dissertation regarding the role that technology (e.g., fMRI, CAT, PET, etc.) can, does, and should play in our formation of religious beliefs, especially regarding the use of religious experience as a proof for the existence of deity. I am interested in the philosophy of religion (from an anti- and atheist standpoint), cognitive science of religion, philosophy of science & biology, metaphysics (causation), epistemology (uncertainty), and other general philosophical and scientific issues.
