My research interests focus on Kierkegaard, Wittgenstein and the phenomenological tradition; and on basic philosophical problems regarding human subjectivity and thought. I also have interests in the philosophy of religion, the philosophy of language and moral political philosophy. I'm currently writing a book with the working title, Thinking Humanly: Kierkegaard on Subjectivity and Thought. I'm also Co-Investigator on the AHRC-funded research project, 'The Ethics of Powerlessness: The Theological Virtues Today'
