Danny Sowell

I am an independent researcher with a longstanding interest in the nature of consciousness and its relationship to artificial intelligence. My work is shaped by a first‑principles approach inspired by my early engagement with Heidegger’s Being and Time. I bring this same analytical style to all of my investigations, drawing on a wide range of interests while remaining grounded in conceptual clarity and structural explanation. I approach questions of mind and cognition from a broadly Coherentist perspective, understanding ‘truth’ as the best available explanation given the totality of what we currently believe to be true. Philosophical interests aside, I'm also a scientist at heart, so I find more value in a theory's predictive ability than in its descriptive qualities.
