Majored in philosophy at Yale (B.A. cum laude 1972). Almost went to philosophy graduate school at University of Chicago but went to law school instead (Boston University, magna cum laude 1975). Have dabbled in philosophy ever since, and am doing more of that since retiring as a lawyer in 2015.
