I completed my Ph.D. in Philosophy of Science and Technology at the University of Cambridge. My focus has been on a cluster of issues situated at the intersection of Philosophy, the Life Sciences, and, more recently, Artificial Intelligence. Specifically, I am interested in the nature of agency and mind from a biological perspective and how a deeper understanding of biology, evolution, and organisms can furnish conceptual resources for the domains of computer science and robotics - sometimes called 'bio-inspired artificial intelligence'.
