I am an Instructor of Philosophy and full-time faculty member at Houston Community College. I received my Ph.D. in philosophy from the University of New Mexico in 2019. For 2023-24, I am co-principal investigator of a Teagle Foundation grant to develop a humanities curriculum based in “transformative texts” at HCC.

My research is grounded in hermeneutics and phenomenology. My recent work is on the way toward a “phenomenology of the humanities” or a “phenomenological humanities,” that is, a transcendentally reduced and first-person approach to the disclosure of meaning in history and art in which my own being is at issue.
