My main interests are in ethical theory. My current focus is on the ethics of distribution. I believe that (a) the best way to understand what all views about distribution are saying is to first understand utilitarianism; and (b) when that's done, utilitarianism emerges as clearly correct. This project draws heavily on welfare economics and mathematics. Epistemology has benefitted greatly in the last decade or two from welcoming formal epistemology.
