"What festoons my bowers with extravagant blooms is the surrealist adventure." This quote from Dorothea Tanning sums up my attitude to philosophy and to life. Not the fruit of experience, but experience itself is the goal. This utter rejection of positivism has led me to eschew any sort of career in academia, where the main enterprise has been, is, and always will be the mere bringing back of a bit of pollen to the hive, to paraphrase Nietzsche. Liberation lies elsewhere.
