My research regards epistemological questions in biology, medicine, psychiatry and cognitive science, such as: a) the nature and nurture of mental disorders and medical conditions; b) the role of epistemic and non-epistemic values in shaping concepts and categories such as health, disease, race, and intelligence. I am also interested in sustainability and open knowledge. From 2026, I'm PI of the project "Dynamic Medicine: A Processual Approach to Individual Differences in Health, Disease, and Life Trajectories."
