I am an adjunct professor of philosophy at Our Lady of the Lake University and Northeast Lakeview College (part of the Alamo Colleges District) both in San Antonio, Texas.
I hold a J.D. (University of Denver - 1998) (PhilPeople doesn't allow me to properly list a doctorate other than a PhD under my education in the sidebar). I'm currently working on an M.A. from the University of Texas at San Antonio. Dr. Alistair Welchman is my thesis advisor/committee chair. My thesis is on the structure of historical silences with a focus on the silencing of racial and gender minorities.
I am interested in philosophy of history, philosophy of education, semiology, aesthetics, information theory, philosophy of technology, cyber feminism, socialist feminism, Earth jurisprudence, Critical Theory, and AI ethics. I'm particularly interested in the works of Jacques Derrida, Martin Heidegger, Jean Baudrillard, Judith Butler, Roland Barthes, and Michel-Rolph Trouillot.
